  • for I have delivered them into thine hand; there shall not a man

  • LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel,
  • and he {said} in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon

  • [is] among us, because ye have not committed this trespass
  • against the LORD: now ye have delivered the children of Israel
  • out of the hand of the LORD.
  • said Jos 23 02 And Joshua called for all Israel, [and] for their
  • elders, and for their heads, and for their judges, and for their
  • officers, and {said} unto them, I am old [and] stricken in age:
  • said Jos 24 02 And Joshua {said} unto all the people, Thus saith
  • the LORD God of Israel, Your fathers dwelt on the other side of
  • the flood in old time, [even] Terah, the father of Abraham, and
  • the father of Nachor: and they served other gods.

  • that we should forsake the LORD, to serve other gods;
  • said Jos 24 19 And Joshua {said} unto the people, Ye cannot
  • serve the LORD: for he [is] an holy God; he [is] a jealous God;
  • he will not forgive your transgressions nor your sins.
  • said Jos 24 21 And the people {said} unto Joshua, Nay; but we
  • will serve the LORD.
  • said Jos 24 22 And Joshua said unto the people, Ye [are]
  • witnesses against yourselves that ye have chosen you the LORD,
  • to serve him. And they {said}, [We are] witnesses.

  • said Jos 24 23 Now therefore put away, [{said} he], the strange
  • gods which [are] among you, and incline your heart unto the LORD

  • said Jos 24 24 And the people {said} unto Joshua, The LORD our
  • God will we serve, and his voice will we obey.
  • said Jos 24 27 And Joshua {said} unto all the people, Behold,
  • this stone shall be a witness unto us; for it hath heard all the
  • words of the LORD which he spake unto us: it shall be therefore
  • a witness unto you, lest ye deny your God.

  • [it], that they hasted and rose up early, and the men of the
  • city went out against Israel to battle, he and all his people,
  • at a time appointed, before the plain; but he wist not that
  • [there were] liers in ambush against him behind the city.
  • saw Jos 08 20 And when the men of Ai looked behind them, they
  • {saw}, and, behold, the smoke of the city ascended up to heaven,
  • and they had no power to flee this way or that way: and the
  • people that fled to the wilderness turned back upon the pursuers.
  • saw Jos 08 21 And when Joshua and all Israel {saw} that the
  • ambush had taken the city, and that the smoke of the city
  • ascended, then they turned again, and slew the men of Ai.
  • say Jos 07 08 O Lord, what shall I {say}, when Israel turneth
  • their backs before their enemies!
  • say Jos 07 13 Up, sanctify the people, and {say}, Sanctify
  • yourselves against tomorrow: for thus saith the LORD God of

  • the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half
  • tribe of Manasseh have built an altar over against the land of
  • Canaan, in the borders of Jordan, at the passage of the children
  • of Israel.

  • you, and our generations after us, that we might do the service

  • sun Jos 12 01 Now these [are] the kings of the land, which the
  • children of Israel smote, and possessed their land on the other
  • side Jordan toward the rising of the {sun}, from the river Arnon
  • unto mount Hermon, and all the plain on the east:
  • sunrising Jos 01 15 Until the LORD have given your brethren rest,
  • as [he hath given] you, and they also have possessed the land
  • which the LORD your God giveth them: then ye shall return unto
  • the land of your possession, and enjoy it, which Moses the
  • LORD'S servant gave you on this side Jordan toward the
  • {sunrising}.
  • sunrising Jos 13 05 And the land of the Giblites, and all
  • Lebanon, toward the {sunrising}, from Baalgad under mount Hermon
  • unto the entering into Hamath.

  • to Daberath, and goeth up to Japhia.

  • Bethdagon, and reacheth to Zebulun, and to the valley of
  • Jiphthahel toward the north side of Bethemek, and Neiel, and
  • goeth out to Cabul on the left hand,
  • sunrising Jos 19 34 And [then] the coast turneth westward to
  • Aznothtabor, and goeth out from thence to Hukkok, and reacheth
  • to Zebulun on the south side, and reacheth to Asher on the west
  • side, and to Judah upon Jordan toward the {sunrising}.
  • Surely Jos 14 09 And Moses sware on that day, saying, {Surely}
  • the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine
  • inheritance, and thy children's for ever, because thou hast
  • wholly followed the LORD my God.

  • delivered all their enemies into their hand.
  • swear Jos 02 12 Now therefore, I pray you, {swear} unto me by
  • the LORD, since I have showed you kindness, that ye will also
  • show kindness unto my father's house, and give me a true token:
  • swear Jos 02 17 And the men said unto her, We [will be]
  • blameless of this thine oath which thou hast made us {swear}.
  • swear Jos 02 20 And if thou utter this our business, then we
  • will be quit of thine oath which thou hast made us to {swear}.
  • swear Jos 23 07 That ye come not among these nations, these that
  • remain among you; neither make mention of the name of their gods,
  • nor cause to {swear} [by them], neither serve them, nor bow
  • yourselves unto them:
  • sword Jos 05 13 And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho,
  • that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood
  • a man over against him with his {sword} drawn in his hand: and
  • Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, [Art] thou for us, or
  • for our adversaries?
  • sword Jos 06 21 And they utterly destroyed all that [was] in the
  • city, both man and woman, young and old, and ox, and sheep, and
  • ass, with the edge of the {sword}.
  • sword Jos 08 24 And it came to pass, when Israel had made an end
  • of slaying all the inhabitants of Ai in the field, in the
  • wilderness wherein they chased them, and when they were all
  • fallen on the edge of the {sword}, until they were consumed,
  • that all the Israelites returned unto Ai, and smote it with the
  • edge of the sword.
  • sword Jos 08 24 And it came to pass, when Israel had made an end
  • of slaying all the inhabitants of Ai in the field, in the
  • wilderness wherein they chased them, and when they were all
  • fallen on the edge of the sword, until they were consumed, that
  • all the Israelites returned unto Ai, and smote it with the edge
  • of the {sword}.
  • sword Jos 10 11 And it came to pass, as they fled from before
  • Israel, [and] were in the going down to Bethhoron, that the LORD
  • cast down great stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and
  • they died: [they were] more which died with hailstones than
  • [they] whom the children of Israel slew with the {sword}.
  • sword Jos 10 28 And that day Joshua took Makkedah, and smote it
  • with the edge of the {sword}, and the king thereof he utterly
  • destroyed, them, and all the souls that [were] therein; he let
  • none remain: and he did to the king of Makkedah as he did unto
  • the king of Jericho.

  • thereof, into the hand of Israel; and he smote it with the edge
  • of the {sword}, and all the souls that [were] therein; he let
  • none remain in it; but did unto the king thereof as he did unto

  • Israel, which took it on the second day, and smote it with the
  • edge of the {sword}, and all the souls that [were] therein,
  • according to all that he had done to Libnah.

  • the edge of the {sword}, and all the souls that [were] therein
  • he utterly destroyed that day, according to all that he had done
  • to Lachish.
  • sword Jos 10 37 And they took it, and smote it with the edge of
  • the {sword}, and the king thereof, and all the cities thereof,
  • and all the souls that [were] therein; he left none remaining,
  • according to all that he had done to Eglon; but destroyed it
  • utterly, and all the souls that [were] therein.
  • sword Jos 10 39 And he took it, and the king thereof, and all
  • the cities thereof; and they smote them with the edge of the
  • {sword}, and utterly destroyed all the souls that [were] therein;
  • he left none remaining: as he had done to Hebron, so he did to
  • Debir, and to the king thereof; as he had done also to Libnah,
  • and to her king.
  • sword Jos 11 10 And Joshua at that time turned back, and took
  • Hazor, and smote the king thereof with the {sword}: for Hazor
  • beforetime was the head of all those kingdoms.

  • was not any left to breathe: and he burnt Hazor with fire.

  • the {sword}, [and] he utterly destroyed them, as Moses the
  • servant of the LORD commanded.

  • cattle, the children of Israel took for a prey unto themselves;
  • but every man they smote with the edge of the {sword}, until
  • they had destroyed them, neither left they any to breathe.
  • sword Jos 13 22 Balaam also the son of Beor, the soothsayer, did
  • the children of Israel slay with the {sword} among them that
  • were slain by them.
  • sword Jos 19 47 And the coast of the children of Dan went out
  • [too little] for them: therefore the children of Dan went up to
  • fight against Leshem, and took it, and smote it with the edge of
  • the {sword}, and possessed it, and dwelt therein, and called
  • Leshem, Dan, after the name of Dan their father.

  • them out from before you, [even] the two kings of the Amorites;
  • [but] not with thy {sword}, nor with thy bow.
  • sworn Jos 09 18 And the children of Israel smote them not,
  • because the princes of the congregation had {sworn} unto them by
  • the LORD God of Israel. And all the congregation murmured
  • against the princes.
  • sworn Jos 09 19 But all the princes said unto all the
  • congregation, We have {sworn} unto them by the LORD God of
  • Israel: now therefore we may not touch them.
