  4:1 What 5101 -tis shall we say 2046 -ereo then 3767 -oun that

Abraham 0011 -Abraam our father 3962 -pater , as pertaining to

the flesh 4561 -sarx , hath found 2147 -heurisko ?

  4:2 For if 1487 -ei Abraham 0011 -Abraam were justified 1344 -

dikaioo by works 2041 -ergon , he hath 2192 -echo [whereof] to

glory 2745 -kauchema ; but not before 4314 -pros God 2316 -theos

.

  4:3 For what 5101 -tis saith 3004 -lego the scripture 1124 -

graphe ? Abraham 0011 -Abraam believed 4100 -pisteuo God 2316 -

theos , and it was counted 3049 -logizomai unto him for

righteousness 1343 -dikaiosune .

  4:4 Now 1161 -de to him that worketh 2038 -ergazomai is the

reward 3408 -misthos not reckoned 3049 -logizomai of grace 5485 -

charis , but of debt 3783 -opheilema .

  4:5 But to him that worketh 2038 -ergazomai not, but believeth

4100 -pisteuo on 1909 -epi him that justifieth 1344 -dikaioo the

ungodly 0765 -asebes , his faith 4102 -pistis is counted 3049 -

logizomai for righteousness 1343 -dikaiosune .

  4:6 Even 2509 -kathaper as David 1138 -Dabid also 2532 -kai

describeth 3004 -lego the blessedness 3108 -makarismos of the

imputeth 3049 -logizomai righteousness 1343 -dikaiosune without

  4:7 [Saying], Blessed 3107 -makarios [are] they whose 3739 -

hos iniquities 0458 -anomia are forgiven 0863 -aphiemi , and

whose 3739 -hos sins 0266 -hamartia are covered 1943 -epikalupto

.

  4:8 Blessed 3107 -makarios [is] the man 0435 -aner to whom

3739 -hos the Lord 2962 -kurios will not impute 3049 -logizomai

sin 0266 -hamartia .

  4:9 [Cometh] this 3778 -houtos blessedness 3108 -makarismos

then 3767 -oun upon the circumcision 4061 -peritome [only], or

2228 -e upon the uncircumcision 0203 -akrobustia also 2532 -kai

? for we say 3004 -lego that faith 4102 -pistis was reckoned

3049 -logizomai to Abraham 0011 -Abraam for righteousness 1343 -

dikaiosune .

logizomai ? when he was in circumcision 4061 -peritome , or 2228

-e in uncircumcision 0203 -akrobustia ? Not in circumcision 4061

-peritome , but in uncircumcision 0203 -akrobustia .

  4:11 And he received 2983 -lambano the sign 4592 -semeion of

circumcision 4061 -peritome , a seal 4973 -sphragis of the

righteousness 1343 -dikaiosune of the faith 4102 -pistis which

3588 -ho [he had yet] being uncircumcised 0203 -akrobustia :

stoicheo in the steps 2487 -ichnos of that faith 4102 -pistis of

our father 3962 -pater Abraham 11 , which [he had] being [yet]

uncircumcised 0203 -akrobustia .

  4:13 For the promise 1860 -epaggelia , that he should be the

heir 2818 -kleronomos of the world 2889 -kosmos , [was] not to

Abraham 11 , or 2228 -e to his seed 4690 -sperma , through 1223 -

dia the law 3551 -nomos , but through 1223 -dia the

righteousness 1343 -dikaiosune of faith 4102 -pistis .

  4:14 For if 1487 -ei they which are of the law 3551 -nomos

[be] heirs 2818 -kleronomos , faith 4102 -pistis is made 2758 -

kenoo void 2758 -kenoo , and the promise 1860 -epaggelia made

2673 -katargeo of none 2673 -katargeo effect 2673 -katargeo :

  4:15 Because 1063 -gar the law 3551 -nomos worketh 2716 -

katergazomai wrath 3709 -orge : for where 3757 -hou no 3756 -ou

law 3551 -nomos is, [there is] no 3761 -oude transgression 3847 -

parabasis .

  4:16 Therefore 5124 -touto [it is] of faith 4102 -pistis ,

that [it might be] by grace 5485 -charis ; to the end 1519 -eis

the promise 1860 -epaggelia might be sure 0949 -bebaios to all

3956 -pas the seed 4690 -sperma ; not to that only 3440 -monon

  4:17 (As it is written 1125 -grapho , I have made 5087 -

tithemi thee a father 3962 -pater of many 4183 -polus nations

1484 -ethnos ,) before 2713 -katenanti him whom 3739 -hos he

believed 4100 -pisteuo , [even] God 2316 -theos , who 3588 -ho

quickeneth 2227 -zoopoieo the dead 3498 -nekros , and calleth

2564 -kaleo those 3588 -ho things which be not as though they

were.

  4:18 Who 3739 -hos against 3844 -para hope 1680 -elpis

believed 4100 -pisteuo in hope 1680 -elpis , that he might

nations 1484 -ethnos , according 2596 -kata to that which was

be.

  4:19 And being not weak 0770 -astheneo in faith 4102 -pistis ,

  4:22 And therefore 1352 -dio it was imputed 3049 -logizomai to

him for righteousness 1343 -dikaiosune .

  4:23 Now 1161 -de it was not written 1125 -grapho for his sake

alone 3440 -monon , that it was imputed 3049 -logizomai to him;

  4:24 But for us also 2532 -kai , to whom 3739 -hos it shall be

imputed 3049 -logizomai , if we believe 4100 -pisteuo on 1909 -

epi him that raised 1453 -egeiro up Jesus 2424 -Iesous our Lord

2962 -kurios from the dead 3498 -nekros ;

  4:25 Who 3739 -hos was delivered 3860 -paradidomi for our

offences 3900 -paraptoma , and was raised 1453 -egeiro again

1453 -egeiro for our justification 1347 -dikaiosis .
