king EZR 01 08 Even those did Cyrus {king} of Persia bring forth by the hand of Mithredath the treasurer, and numbered them unto Sheshbazzar, the prince of Judah. king EZR 02 01 Now these [are] the children of the province that went up out of the captivity, of those which had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the {king} of Babylon had carried away unto Babylon, and came again unto Jerusalem and Judah, every one unto his city; king EZR 03 07 They gave money also unto the masons, and to the carpenters; and meat, and drink, and oil, unto them of Zidon, and to them of Tyre, to bring cedar trees from Lebanon to the sea of Joppa, according to the grant that they had of Cyrus {king} of Persia. king EZR 03 10 And when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the LORD, they set the priests in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites the sons of Asaph with cymbals, to praise the LORD, after the ordinance of David {king} of Israel. king EZR 04 02 Then they came to Zerubbabel, and to the chief of the fathers, and said unto them, Let us build with you: for we seek your God, as ye [do]; but we ourselves together will build unto the LORD God of Israel, as king Cyrus the {king} of Persia hath commanded us. king EZR 04 03 But Zerubbabel, and Jeshua, and the rest of the chief of the fathers of Israel, said unto them, Ye have nothing to do with us to build an house unto our God; king EZR 04 16 We certify the {king} that, if this city be builded [again], and the walls thereof set up, by this means thou shalt have no portion on this side the river. king EZR 04 17 Then] sent the {king} an answer unto Rehum the chancellor, and [to] Shimshai the scribe, and [to] the rest of their companions that dwell in Samaria, and [unto] the rest beyond the river, Peace, and at such a time. king EZR 04 23 Now when the copy of {king} Artaxerxes' letter [was] read before Rehum, and Shimshai the scribe, and their companions, they went up in haste to Jerusalem unto the Jews, and made them to cease by force and power. king EZR 04 24 Then ceased the work of the house of God which [is] at Jerusalem. And Esther obtained favour in the sight of all them that looked upon her. king's ES 02 19 And when the virgins were gathered together the second time, then Mordecai sat in the {king's} gate. king's ES 02 21 In those days, while Mordecai sat in the king's gate, two of the {king's} chamberlains, Bigthan and Teresh, of those which kept the door, were wroth, and sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus. king's ES 02 21 In those days, while Mordecai sat in the {king's} gate, two of the king's chamberlains, Bigthan and Teresh, of those which kept the door, were wroth, and sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus. king's ES 03 02 And all the king's servants, that [were] in the {king's} gate, bowed, and reverenced Haman: for the king had so commanded concerning him. But Mordecai bowed not, nor did [him] reverence. king's ES 03 02 And all the {king's} servants, that [were] in the king's gate, bowed, and reverenced Haman: for the king had so commanded concerning him. But Mordecai bowed not, nor did [him] reverence. king's ES 03 03 Then the king's servants, which [were] in the king's gate, said unto Mordecai, Why transgressest thou the {king's} commandment? king's ES 03 03 Then the king's servants, which [were] in the {king's} gate, said unto Mordecai, Why transgressest thou the king's commandment? king's ES 03 03 Then the {king's} servants, which [were] in the king's gate, said unto Mordecai, Why transgressest thou the king's commandment? king's ES 03 08 And Haman said unto king Ahasuerus, There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of thy kingdom; and their laws [are] diverse from all people; neither keep they the {king's} laws: therefore it [is] not for the king's profit to suffer them. king's ES 03 08 And Haman said unto king Ahasuerus, There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of thy kingdom; and their laws [are] diverse from all people; neither keep they the king's laws: therefore it [is] not for the {king's} profit to suffer them. king's ES 03 09 If it please the king, let it be written that they may be destroyed: and I will pay ten thousand talents of silver to the hands of those that have the charge of the business, to bring [it] into the {king's} treasuries. king's ES 03 12 Then were the king's scribes called on the thirteenth day of the first month, and there was written according to all that Haman had commanded unto the king's lieutenants, and to the governors that [were] over every province, and to the rulers of every people of every province according to the writing thereof, and [to] every people after their language; in the name of king Ahasuerus was it written, and sealed with the {king's} ring. king's ES 03 12 Then were the king's scribes called on the thirteenth day of the first month, and there was written according to all that Haman had commanded unto the {king's} lieutenants, and to the governors that [were] over every province, and to the rulers of every people of every province according to the writing thereof, and [to] every people after their language; in the name of king Ahasuerus was it written, and sealed with the king's ring. king's ES 03 12 Then were the {king's} scribes called on the thirteenth day of the first month, and there was written according to all that Haman had commanded unto the king's lieutenants, and to the governors that [were] over every province, and to the rulers of every people of every province according to the writing thereof, and [to] every people after their language; in the name of king Ahasuerus was it written, and sealed with the king's ring. king's ES 03 13 And the letters were sent by posts into all the {king's} provinces, to destroy, to kill, and to cause to perish, all Jews, both young and old, little children and women, in one day, [even] upon the thirteenth [day] of the twelfth month, which is the month Adar, and [to take] the spoil of them for a prey. king's ES 03 15 The posts went out, being hastened by the {king's} commandment, and the decree was given in Shushan the palace. And the king and Haman sat down to drink; but the city Shushan was perplexed. king's ES 04 02 And came even before the {king's} gate: for none [might] enter into the king's gate clothed with sackcloth. king's ES 04 02 And came even before the king's gate: for none [might] enter into the {king's} gate clothed with sackcloth. king's ES 04 03 And in every province, whithersoever the {king's} commandment and his decree came, [there was] great mourning among the Jews, and fasting, and weeping, and wailing; and many lay in sackcloth and ashes. king's ES 04 05 Then called Esther for Hatach, [one] of the {king's} chamberlains, whom he had appointed to attend upon her, and gave him a commandment to Mordecai, to know what it [was], and why it [was]. king's ES 04 06 So Hatach went forth to Mordecai unto the street of the city, which [was] before the {king's} gate. king's ES 04 07 And Mordecai told him of all that had happened unto him, and of the sum of the money that Haman had promised to pay to the {king's} treasuries for the Jews, to destroy them. king's ES 04 11 All the king's servants, and the people of the {king's} provinces, do know, that whosoever, whether man or woman, shall come unto the king into the inner court, who is not called, [there is] one law of his to put [him] to death, except such to whom the king shall hold out the golden sceptre, that he may live: but I have not been called to come in unto the king these thirty days. king's ES 04 11 All the {king's} servants, and the people of the king's provinces, do know, that whosoever, whether man or woman, shall come unto the king into the inner court, who is not called, [there is] one law of his to put [him] to death, except such to whom the king shall hold out the golden sceptre, that he may live: but I have not been called to come in unto the king these thirty days. king's ES 04 13 Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the {king's} house, more than all the Jews. king's ES 05 01 Now it came to pass on the third day, that Esther put on [her] royal [apparel], and stood in the inner court of the king's house, over against the {king's} house: and the king sat upon his royal throne in the royal house, over against the gate of the house. king's ES 05 01 Now it came to pass on the third day, that Esther put on [her] royal [apparel], and stood in the inner court of the {king's} house, over against the king's house: and the king sat upon his royal throne in the royal house, over against the gate of the house. king's ES 05 09 Then went Haman forth that day joyful and with a glad heart: but when Haman saw Mordecai in the {king's} gate, that he stood not up, nor moved for him, he was full of indignation against Mordecai. king's ES 05 13 Yet all this availeth me nothing, so long as I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the {king's} gate. king's ES 06 02 And it was found written, that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the {king's} chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus. king's ES 06 03 And the king said, What honour and dignity hath been done to Mordecai for this? But Haman hasted to his house mourning, and having his head covered. king's ES 06 14 And while they [were] yet talking with him, came the {king's} chamberlains, and hasted to bring Haman unto the banquet that Esther had prepared. king's ES 07 04 For we are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish. But if we had been sold for bondmen and bondwomen, I had held my tongue, although the enemy could not countervail the {king's} damage. king's ES 07 08 Then the king returned out of the palace garden into the place of the banquet of wine; and Haman was fallen upon the bed whereon Esther [was]. Then said the king, Will he force the queen also before me in the house? As the word went out of the {king's} mouth, they covered Haman's face. king's ES 07 10 So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai.
